Home sweet hometown

I’m at home hanging out with my parents for a few days, which means the following things:

I went to bed at 10 p.m. after 3 hours of Netflix. I woke up at 7:30 a.m., meaning I ran out of internet to lurk by approximately 9:30. My dog still smells like rotting everything. My car refused to let me turn the key in the ignition. Peet’s was out of tables, and for some reason the only free WiFi I can pick up from Starbucks is from the Wendy’s across the parking lot.

But I can make out the topography of the Channel Islands from my deck today. It’s 60 degrees and the clearest of clear.

Photodiary: Day 21

Laziness prevails: a cell phone picture. Went to my first high school baseball game. Had never considered the weirdness of the cougar mascot until I saw mothers sporting the sweatshirts.

Photodiary Day 17: Christmas Eve Edition

Christmas in the Ferro household. I have no idea what was on that iPhone, but it looks like it might be something scary. Or really cute?

Photodiary: Day 16: Making up for lateness with many more photos.

Riley and I watched the Rugrats.

Then Hansie and I went to the Cross for some sunset pics.

Money quote from Alex: "I didn't realize it went down so fast!"

Later I found myself being driven to IHOP for bacon.

IHOP, where I tried to order the pancake special without the pancakes.

I don't know why I didn't take pictures of anyone else other than Andy and Phillip. But I didn't.

Photodiary: Day 14

My mother claims this dog's name is Andrew. He comes and hangs out with Olive because he's also old and lonely.

Photodiary: Day 8

Baby Kelsey at the park.

PCH northbound toward home

In an effort to quell the boredom that’s already overtaken my break from school, 0r maybe just as a way to get myself out of the house, I’m keeping a photodiary for as long as I’m in Ventura. One photo a day (at least) to make it worthwhile that I brought home my camera at all. Most of what I do at home isn’t blog-worthy, but it’s a good exercise to have to pay attention to the small moments that make up a day.

Unless noted otherwise, all photos are taken with my Canon Rebel with a 50mm Nikon lens.
